Writer / Director Hiroshi Katagiri

Born in Tokyo, Japan,

Hiroshi was always interested in movies and special effects. While browsing through a local book store at age 13, he found a book about special make-up effects. It was the first book published in Japan about make-up effects and he quickly became aware of the full process of film making. After graduating high school he moved to the U.S.A. to pursue a career in the film industry, and at age 19 started his first job as a special make up effects artist.

Now after 15 years of creating effects on major studio films, he is taking this experience to the director's chair.
